'Thalapathy 66' to be bankrolled by a popular small-screen production house?

Now, the latest report is that 'Thalapathy 66' might be produced by a popular small-screen production house.

Earlier, it was expected that 'Mersal' producer Thenandal Studios Limited will be producing 'Thalapathy 66' after the producer Murali Ramasamy made a statement regarding their reunion with Vijay. But, now it is reported that Vijay's 66th film is to be produced by Endemol Shine India that is producing a popular television reality show. Endemol Shine India has planned to make their entry to big screens, and they have chosen Vijay to establish themselves big. Also, it is expected that 'Thalapathy 66' might be produced by Endemol Shine India in association with Thenandal Studios Limited since the 'Mersal' producer aims for a strong comeback.

Meanwhile, Vijay's 65th is reported to be produced by Sun Pictures, and as of now, music director Thaman has only confirmed his participation in the film. The official announcement regarding Vijay's upcoming film and an interesting update from 'Master' are expected to be made on Vijay's birthday on June 22.
